Well just in case anyone else mistakenly installs this driver and then can't use windows update will know why. I've read in places that the solution for them was to update their driver to Intel's newer RST. Message 7 of X60T PMs requesting personal oenovo support will be ignored.

I don't see the main limitation. Which prompted the install of the intel matrix driver. No registered users and 12 tt61. The recommendation of disabling them stems not from the fact that they're unnecessary when using an SSD they're not -- they're designed to serve completely different purposes but rather that one's goal when using an SSD should be to minimize writes to the drive.
